JAWAHAR NAVODAYA VIDYALAYA,TITABOR
In accordance with the National Policy of Education (1986), Government of India started Jawahar Novadaya Vidyalayas(JNVs). Presently the JNVs are spread in 24 States and 6 Union Teritories. These are co-educational residential Schools fully financed by Government of India through an autonomous organisation, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. Admission in JNVs are made through the Jawahar Navodaya Selection Test (JNVST) to class VI. The Medium of instruction in JNVs is mother tongue or regional language upto class VIII and English thereafter for Maths and Science and Hindi for Social Science. Students of the JNVs appear for X and XII class examinations of the Central Board of Secondary Education.
Objectives of the scheme:
To promote national intregration among students through a policy of migration.
To encourage and promote talent predominantly from rural areas and weaker sections.
To provide quality moderm educatrion for all round development of talented children.
To establish pace setter institutions to be models in the districts and to be resource centres for promotion of eccellence.
How to get application form:
Application for admission may be made on the prescribe application form obtainable free of charge from the following:
District Education Officer.
Block Education Officer.
Headmaster of any recognised school of the District having class V.
Principal, Jawahar Navidaya Vidyalaya.
Language of the examination
The language/medium of the examination for the candidate is the medium through which the candidate is studying in class V.
